The Head's Role in Marketing Planning

The Head of School is the guiding hand in the planning process. Here are some demonstrable ways to show commitment:

  1. Provide a marketing entree to the governing board
  2. Advocate the principles of marketing before the board and its committees
  3. Include marketing in the top administrative councils
  4. Support plans for marketing research
  5. Outline marketing challenges and possible solutions
  6. Meet regularly with the lead marketer to work through problems
  7. Assist in implementing strategies
  8. Participate in the continuing evaluation and recycling of each plan
  9. Hold up and celebrate marketing successes to the campus community
